Can I get homework help?

Answer

In-person weekly Homework Help and Tutoring targeted to Grades K-8 is available at 6 CLP locations.  This is a drop-in program, so no registration is required.  Students can bring homework, but they don’t have to.  They are welcome to stop in and ask for tutoring in a subject or concept they are struggling with.  Tutoring is being facilitated by Catapult Learning in partnership with Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh.

Students can get Live Homework Help online from real tutors every day from noon until midnight. Tutor.com offers online tutoring for kindergarten to College level students in English, Math, Science and Social Studies. Log in here with your library card number.

You can also find a variety of other resources to help with school projects and test preparation here. Some of these options require a library card to log in.

Learn to Be is another non-profit that offers one-on-one tutoring for free or your choice of payment.

Gwen's Girls is a local Pittsburgh organization that also offers online tutoring through their Academic Support Initiative (ASI). You can sign-up through their website for group sessions for grades K-8 that run Monday through Friday from 9:00-11:00 as well as individual sessions for boys and girls in grades K-12 that run from 9:00-5:00pm, Monday through Friday.

School 2 Career, a youth program of the Oakland Planning and Development Corporation is offering virtual after school tutoring. Find the form here.
