How does a Pittsburgh Public School (PPS) student access Microsoft Teams for their class?
Answer
Microsoft Teams will be used by Pittsburgh Public School teachers to take attendance, run live classes, and have video conferences with students and parents.
There are a number of ways to access Microsoft Teams for Pittsburgh Public School students, your teacher or school administration should inform you of the best way. Below are a few possible ways of doing so:
- Within Schoology (available by logging into Clever):
- Under "Upcoming" on the right will be the "Team meeting", click/tap on it
- Select “Join Microsoft Teams Meeting”
- Enter PPS email address then PPS password
- Select your audio and video settings then click/tap “Join Now”
- Other options within Schoology (available by logging into Clever):
- Click/tap the class you’d like to join
- Some teachers will have the Team meeting available in “Updates”, which can be found on the left, click/tap “Join Microsoft Team Meeting”
- There is also a “Teams Meeting” options on the left. Click here and login using the student’s PPS email and password
- Log into Clever and find the Microsoft Teams App
- There are two apps, be sure to select the correct one:
- “Microsoft Teams” is for computer use through a web browser
- “Teams for iPads and iPhones” for iPhones and iPads
- Enter the student’s PPS email and password
- You may have to enter a code provided by the student’s teacher/school in “Join a Team with a Code”
